Wellbeing Dashboard Amsterdam

Measure what matters

The Amsterdam Wellbeing Dashboard is a project in which local residents and researchers from the University of Amsterdam work together.

Venserpolder

In Venserpolder, we did an initial measurement on 16 topics. Together, these form a Wellbeing Dashboard that reflects residents’ needs. Three topics they found most important:

G-Buurt

Soon, we’ll start developing the Wellbeing Dashboard of the G-buurt.

Reigersbos

Soon, we’ll start developing the Wellbeing Dashboard of Reigersbos.

Residents in Dialogue about Wellbeing

Many residents do not feel seen by the municipality and feel that it often misses the mark. Local officials and other organisations also struggle to take the right actions. A Wellbeing Dashboard shows how residents are doing. To do this, we measure topics that are important to residents. This makes it a tool to measure the economy with the human at its centre, with residents as co-managers.

With these figures in hand, residents can enter into dialogue with the municipality and other organisations. Together, we work on solutions for a better neighbourhood!

Our strategy:

We continue...

The project started in Amsterdam’s Venserpolder neighbourhood. Now we are expanding it to other neighbourhoods and districts in Amsterdam. The intention is to keep on updating the Dashboard thereafter.
